William Gibbons & Sons has achieved the prestigious
ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Certification.

We have been certified to ISO 14001:2015 for the following scope: The environmental management of all operations at the Willenhall site, including lithographic and heatset web offset printing and finishing, packing and distribution operations. The certification is subject to periodic surveillance and re-assessment. Paper Usage Policy

William Gibbons and Sons Ltd recognise the environmental and social benefits when products from an independently certified forestry source are used. We understand the responsibility our company has, as a consumer of forest products, to have a neutral or positive effect upon the world’s forest wherever possible.

All paper or board products sourced on behalf of our customers who specify that this material must be from such origins, will be purchased from Certified Suppliers and will be covered by our valid Chain of Custody certificate.

Environmental Policy

In our ongoing drive for continuous improvement, we will, as far as is reasonably practicable, adopt the following principles, which will form the basis of our specific environmental objectives, which will be regularly progressed and reviewed:

Be compliant with all current environmental legislation
2.
Minimise consumption of all raw materials used, including water, fuel and energy.
3. Minimise waste in production and packaging and ensure that any waste generated is labeled, stored and disposed of correctly and where possible recycled.
4. Reduce the amount of solvents and other hazardous chemicals in the workplace
and / or atmosphere
5.
Provide safe, clean and hygienic working conditions.
6. Develop systems to prevent / reduce any environmental pollution and alert the company to any accidental emissions or incidents.
7. Co-ordinate deliveries and sales calls to reduce transport costs and energy.
8. Develop systems for the responsible purchase, development, operation and maintenance of plant and associated processes to reflect the principles above.
9.
Ensure that the management, staff and sub-contractors understand and comply with this policy.
10. Communicate environmental awareness in our staff through regular briefings.
